Loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Annie Ruth Duran, age 80, of Douglasville, GA passed away Friday, November 20, 2009. She was born November 7, 1929 in Ocilla, GA daughter of the late John and Ann Jane Tucker Harper. She was also preceded in death by her husband Rev. William Reed Duran. Mrs. Duran was a retired secretary with Traveler’s Insurance Company.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward R. and Pamela Duran of Dallas, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia S. and Carlos Canada of Kennesaw, GA, Beverly L. and Arnold Norris of Hiram, GA; grandchildren, Kenny Rowe, Justin and Madison Rowe, William Cory Albertson, Dustin Canada, Amanda and Kevin Bailey, and Lee Norris.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 5-8 PM. The funeral service will be Monday, November 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Dr. Milton Dwelle officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL.

Flowers accepted or donations may be made to Transplant Foundation of Georgia or American Diabetics Association.
