Annie E. Cannon, 68, passed away October 14, 2011, at home after a three year battle against cancer. She was born June 16, 1943 in Spartanburg, SC, attended school in Gastonia, NC and as a Navy wife ended up in Virginia Beach in the early 1970's. She was a Biscuit Maker for Hardee's, where she worked for over 17 years until her illness overcame her. She is survived by her son, Terry Lynn Forbes and his wife, Ellen; her sister, Bettye C. Gaiennie and her husband, Scotty; nieces, Lee Uittenbogaard and husband husband David; nephew, Ed Gaiennie; and grand nieces, Ashley Garneau and Megan Uittenbogaard. A private burial service was held at Princess Anne Memorial Park on Wednesday, Oct. 19 2011.
