Viveiros, Anthony C., 82, died Saturday, December 25, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Mary K. (Dolan) Viveiros and a son of the late John and Delrina (Fernandes) Viveiros. Anthony was employed as a meat cutter for A&P and Star Markets before retiring. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the RI National Guard. Mr. Viveiros competed in the Senior Olympics in the Shot-Put, Javelin and High Jumps. An avid golfer, he had two hole-in-ones at the East Greenwich Golf Course and the Firefly Golf Course. He was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church.
Besides his wife he is survived by two children John Viveiros and Sandra Weston; one brother John Viveiros; two sisters Theresa O’Leary and Ann Berg; two grandchildren Kevin and Katie Viveiros; one great-grandson Brayden Stolpa. He was the brother of the late Joseph Viveiros and Katherine Mello.
His funeral will be held Thursday, December 30 at 8:45 AM in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis de Sales Church, School St, at 10:00AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Burial with military honors in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of Care New England VNA, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886 will be appreciated.
