Anthony C. Cordiale, 79, of Hot Springs, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012. He was born August 12, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York to Anthony and Angelina Cordiale. He graduated from New York State University with a degree in Dental Lab Technology. He was drafted into the Army during the Korean Conflict and served in the military for 28 years, retiring from the 223rd Combat Communications Squadron. He served in bases all over the world and the United States. He owned the Cordiale Dental Lab and worked for many of the dentists in Hot Springs. He was a member of the Spa Amateur Radio Club and received his first radio license when he was 15 years old. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, George Cordiale; aunt, Rose Tesonerio of Miller Place, New York; and son-in-law, Monte Baugh of Hot Springs.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Virginia Ellison Cordiale; daughters, Kathy Baugh (Tommy Vance), Gina Foshee (Mike); granddaughters, Aubree Foshee, Jordan Foshee, Marissa Vance and Zackery Vance; brother Dr. Sal Cordiale (Valerie) of Miller Place, New York; two sisters-in-law, Peggy George of Hot Springs and Madeline Cordiale of Miller Place, New York; nephew, Kyle Poe (Dawn) of Hot Springs and nieces and nephews in New York and Florida.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church with Father James West officiating. Pallbearers will be Anthony Pultz, Louis Oswald, Kyle Poe, Russell Cooper of Houston, Texas, Phil Gladden and Wayne Mamker. Honorary pallbearers are Al Wells, Jim Holden, Members of the 223rd Combat Communications Squadron and members of the Spa Amateur Radio Club. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 6:00-7:30 Wednesday at Gross Funeral Home, with Rosary at 7:30.
