Antonia "Dora" Lovasco Antonia "Dora" Lovasco, 96, of Gloucester, wife of the late Peter D. Lovasco , died on Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Den Mar Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Rockport. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 3, 1914, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giuseppina (Avernia) Licavoli. Dora attended the Patrick Henry School in St. Louis. She had worked for a few years at a dress factory in St. Louis before moving to Gloucester. Once here, she worked for many years at O'Donnell Usen as a fish packer. In her earlier years, she enjoyed going out with the girls from work. She was a member of St. Ann's Church. She is survived by three sisters, Pearl Delaney of Mesa, Arizona, Rose Frandeka of Fargo, Florida and Lena Krosnicki of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Dominic Licavoli of St. Louis, Missouri; her dear niece, Ida Christopher of Gloucester, who was her caregiver for many years ; 3 sisters-in-law, Catherine Perry wife of the late Louis Perry , Josephine Lovasco wife of the late Joseph Lovasco and Lois Lovasco wife of the late Sebastian Lovasco all of Gloucester; her brother-in-law, Jerome Lovasco of Gloucester and many nieces, nephews and cousins from various areas of the United States. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Lentine and four brothers, Michael, Matthew, James and Peter Licavoli. Her Funeral Service will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester on Tuesday, November 9, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. A visitation will precede the service at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be given at www.greelyfuneralhome.com.
