Over the past few days, since Aunt Lena's passing, I've been remembering how wonderful it was spending time with her. I've been recalling the many Sunday dinners, the Holiday dinners and those frequent impromptu weeknight coffee and dessert nights that we shared in New York. When the family was together there was always lots of stories being told, lots of laughing going on, and lots of good food too. For many years distance did not allow us those frequent visits,

I've been recalling the many Sunday dinners, the Holiday dinners and those frequent impromptu weeknight coffee and dessert nights that we shared in New York. When the family was together there was always lots of stories being told, lots of laughing going on, and lots of good food too. For many years distance did not allow us those frequent visits, but when we did get together, it was always like 'old times'.
Aunt Lena, you will be missed so much.

I remember sitting around the table having coffee and cookies. Talking about every thing in life. The fondest memories is the family together telling stories new, old, funny, sad, and the jokes too.

I Love you Aunt Lena, tell the rest of the family I miss them and Love them too.

When I was about 7 or 8, I came home from school one day and as usual my mother had the chore of cleaning
the bathroom. I wanted to go out and play and Mom wasn't hearing any of that. We had a fight and I packed a paper grocery bag and ran away to Aunt Lee's
(which was a couple of blocks away).

Of course, Aunt Lee called my mom and told her where I was and in her usual calming

Of course, Aunt Lee called my mom and told her where I was and in her usual calming voice told me all the reasons I shouldn't fight with my Mom and talked me
into going home. To this day, I still dislike cleaning
the bathroom, but will always think of that day and laugh. I loved having family so close that you could see them whenever you wanted.
