Arlene Sullivan, 78, of Branford died suddenly May 22, 2010 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was married to her loving husband Harold Sullivan of Branford for 58 years. In retirement, they enjoyed traveling and spending time with each other. Arlene was born in New Haven to the late Ernest and Hazel Angelo. She worked as Manager of the Branford High School Cafeteria for many years and was well liked by students and coworkers. In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter Patti Fortin of Branford, grandson Michael Fortin, Carla, and great-granddaughter Kiana. She leaves her daughter and son in law, Debra and Donald Beckwith of North Haven, grandchildren Rachel Beckwith, Abigail Beckwith, Sarah Beckwith Pires and her husband Mario Pires. Arlene cherished time with her granddaughters and was a significant part of their lives. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with her family on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. with a memorial service at 11:30 at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St. Branford. Private burial for her immediate family will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford following the service.
