ARLINE E. HAUCK, 88, entered Eternal Life with her Lord on Nov. 5, 2011. Beloved wife for 67 years of Warren of Rocky River; and loving and devoted mother to Carol (Mal) Cole of NY, David (Meg) of MD, Allan (Tanya) of CA, Barbara (Eric) Hansen of NY, and Edward (Jan) of MD. Arline also was a devoted grandmother to her ten grandchildren: Jeff (Cherie), Karen (Jay), Emily, Ava, Matt, Laura, Sarah, Marty, Ryan and Colin.

Arline was generous and kind to all. She continually welcomed new people into her circle of family and friends. She excelled at initiating conversation and listening with full and thoughtful attention. Arline was an optimist and found much to praise in people. She firmly believed in the power of chocolate to make any day better.

Arline engaged in many civic and social activities during her 40 years in Rocky River. She was a member of the North Olmsted Evangelical Friends Church, the Rocky River Coterie Club, the Rocky River Dance Club, and the Rocky River United Methodist Church Parables. An enthusiastic traveler, she enjoyed visits with her husband to Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and throughout North America. She was an active resident of the Normandy Apartments from 2006 until her passing. Arline was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lola and William Everett Essex, and her devoted husband, Warren Hauck.

Friends may call at the THE BUSCH FUNERAL CHAPEL AT 21369 CENTER RIDGE RD., FAIRVIEW PARK, OH., ON WEDNESDAY, NOV. 9 FROM 2-4 AND FROM 7-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the North Olmsted Evangelical Friends Church, (5665 Great Northern Blvd., North Olmsted) on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH on Friday.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the caring staff of the Normandy Apartments and Normandy Manor of Rocky River. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Olmsted Evangelical Friends Church in North Olmsted, OH.
