Arthur Daniel Quinonez

Our beloved son Arthur Daniel Quinonez, born May 1, 1967 in Lompoc, CA, went to heaven on Sunday, May 8, 2011, at 6:46 pm at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital, room 446-A to 438 fourth floor.

I called my son “Danny” but he liked being called Arthur. He was always outgoing in his own way. He cared for others and everyone and never bothered anyone. He lived his own life and did what he liked best such as playing sports in high school and was always happy in his earlier days working with children as a recreational teacher. After graduating high school (Oxnard High 1985) he joined the Marine Corps and as a proud Marine was sent to San Diego, CA to complete his training with honors then stationed in Oklahoma and Texas.

After his time in the Marines he worked at Port Hueneme Naval Base.

Arthur loved music of the 80’s and 90’s. He enjoyed walking, biking, reading, chess and movies. Arthur loved life and was carefree, happy, lived a clean life and loved God.

As a mother I will be there to pray every day at his side.

Arthur is survived by his dad Richard Quinonez, mother Ellen Quinonez, his brother Anthony (Lina) Quinonez and family, sister Mary Quinonez and her two son’s Joseph and JR, brother Eric Quinonez, and other family members, Charlie, Jeanene and daughter Jocelyn, Monique, Tina, Bobby, his God father Rick, Aunt Terri, Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Tim, Uncle Barney, Uncle Orlando and Uncle Andy.

Flowers may be sent to his visitation which will be held from 4 to 8 pm, Thursday, May 19, with the Vigil service starting at 6:30 pm, at Santa Clara Mortuary, 2370 North H Street, Oxnard.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 pm, Friday, May 20, at Santa Clara Church, 323 S. “E” St. Oxnard. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.
