Arthur F. Allen, Jr., age 48, of Wellsboro, PA, died unexpectedly Friday, February 25, 2011 in Gaines Twp. Arthur was born June 22, 1962 in Monticello, NY, a son of Arthur F. Allen, Sr. and Paulette (Williard) Confer. He was a horse trainer, bartender at the Road House, and carpenter. Arthur enjoyed canoeing, riding snowmobiles, motorcycles, horses, and collecting antiques.

Arthur is survived by a daughter, Harley Anne (Mark Pogany) Allen of Pittsburg, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven (Angeline) Osowski of Monroeton, PA; two grandchildren, Seth and Tristan Osowski; his father and step-mother, Arthur, Sr. and Charleen Allen of Rising Sun, MD; his mother and step-father, Paulette and Mark Confer of Wellsboro, PA; a brother, Anthony (Stayce) Allen of Wellsboro, PA; three step-brothers, Ronald Confer of Alabama, David and Binki of MD; a step-sister, Debra Leber of Mornsville, PA; aunts, uncles, and cousins; nephews, Anthony (Christy Mitchell) Allen, Jr., Christopher (Autumn Geneski) Allen, Dennis Leber and Zackary Leber; a niece, Desiree (Jim) Tipping; great nieces, Arianna Anne Allen and Alexis Anne Allen.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, March 5 from 10-11am at James A. Reed Funral Home, Pillow, PA. Service will be on on Saturday at 11am also at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Gratz Union Cemeter, Gratz, PA.
