Arthur John Felts, 91, formerly of the Kings Grant area, passed away November 24, 2011, in Haymarket, VA. A native of Elkin, NC, he was the son of the late Rufus and Iva Felts, and the widower of Vivian P. Felts. He was Owner and Operator of Arthur J. Felts Masonry. He was a graduate of Dobson High School and a US Air Force veteran of WWII. He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Scott of Virginia Beach, VA and Vicki Ballard and husband Dean of Norfolk, VA; a son, John G. Felts and wife Andrea of Gainesville, VA; five grandchildren, Jennifer Mlincsek (Rich), Wendy McLean (Doug), John Ballard (Carmen), Tina Brugno (Mike) and Bryan Felts (Tammy); twelve great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Louise Knight and Dorothy Felts, both of North Carolina. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Norfolk. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel is handling the arrangements.
