Arthur R. Eiffert , 90, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012. Born in St. Louis, MO, Arthur was a manager of design definition with Sandia Labs for 38 years, retiring in 1985. He was a past member of Christ the King Church in Los Lunas, NM and had recently joined Bethel United Methodist Church. He served in the New Mexico Air National Guard for many years and was a private pilot for more than 70 years. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Eiffert of Fort Wayne, sons, Dana (Carol) Eiffert and Christian Eiffert both of Albuquerque, NM, daughter, Michele (Robert) Aragon of Hamilton, OH, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sisters, Ruth Schwan of Cedarburg, WI and Marie Myers of Ocala, FL. Arthur was preceded in death by first wife, Bernadine and second wife, Laverne. Memorial service is 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethel United Methodist Church, 8405 Lima Rd with Rev. Dennis Leinbach officiating, calling 1 hour prior to service. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
