Arthur Shanklin Jr., 85, departed this life December 19, 2011. He was born in New Orleans, LA and relocated to Morristown, NJ in 1946. Mr. Shanklin was a member of The Church of God In Christ, Morristown, New Jersey. Mr. Shanklin retired after 15 years of service with the County of Morris where he held the position of foreman Building and Grounds Services. Predeceased by his mother Bertha Miller, father, Arthur Shanklin Sr., sisters Mildred Reed, Dorothy Walker and Lillie Mae Thompson he leaves to cherish his memory, wife Elizabeth (nee Joy), daughters Brenda Kersey, Beverly Haynes (William), Deborah Robinson; son Arthur Shanklin, III, brother Jesse Miller (Houston, TX), former wife Augustine Shanklin, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
