Arvine "Skip" C. Greenlaw, 85, of Gardner, passed away peacefully December 29, 2012 in Blair House of Worcester after a lengthy illness. Skip was born in Gardner November 08, 1927 the son of the late Lawrence and Hazel (Stedman) Greenlaw, and has lived in Gardner all his life. Skip's beloved wife Shirley (Nyman) Greenlaw died in June of 2010. Skip proudly served his country during WWII. He worked for many years as a custodian for the First Safety Fund Bank. After he retired he enjoyed woodworking. He created many home made garden decorations. He also enjoyed collecting cameras, yard sales and going out to eat with Shirley. Skip will be sadly missed by 3 children; Keith H. Greenlaw and his wife Nancy of Gardner, Kris A. Greenlaw of Gardner, and Kimberly J. Greenlaw of East Weymouth, one granddaughter; Monica Greenlaw of Orlando, FL, one brother in-law; Donald Nyman of Lancaster; MA, 3 step grandchildren, and 8 Step great-grandchildren. Skip was predeceased by his sister Leslie Nyman., and one grandson; Ian L. Greenlaw. Relatives and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Skip's life by gathering for a graveside service in Wildwood Cemetery, West St. Gardner, on Thursday January 3, 2013 beginning at 12Noon.
