Asia Marie Williams, passed peacefully on November 28, 2011. Asia was born August 13, 1985 to Kendall Meadows Williams and Jeffry Clark Williams at Saint Barnabas Hospital, Livingston, New Jersey. Asia attended West Orange and Orange, NJ public schools. She graduated from Green Run High School in Virginia Beach, VA May 2003. Asia pursued her education in cosmetology then attended and graduated from Fortis College with a degree in Medical Assisting. She was employed as a phlebotomist at First Colonial Diagnostic Center of Virginia Beach and as a Medical Assistant and Care Partner at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. On May 15, 2008, Asia gave birth to her loving son, Myron Elliot Gattis, III "Trey", who was the love and joy of her life. She leaves her precious memories of a loving and devoted family, her son Trey, a devoted partner Myron Elliott Gattis, Jr. "Ronnie" of Virginia Beach, VA. Her parents, Kendall Meadows of New Jersey and Jeffry Clark Williams of Tacoma, WA. Her extended parents, JoAnn and Myron Elliott Gattis, Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA. Two sisters, Kyra and Jada Williams of New Jersey. Grandparents, Charles Douglas Meadows of New Jersey and Marie Meadows of Midllothian, VA. A great grandmother, Thelma Williams of Trenton, NJ. Her cherished Uncle Charles Douglas Meadows Jr. of Richmond, VA. Great aunts and uncles, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. Asia was predeceased by her brother, Kyle Douglas Williams of New Jersey, grandfather, the late Garnett Williams of Connecticut and a great grandmother, the late Willie Meadows of New Jersey. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 12 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
