Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother Canandaigua: Audrey L. Springett, age 86, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012, at F.F. Thompson Hospital. She is survived by four children, Jeffrey (Heidi) Springett of Jackson, WY, Gregory Springett of Bonners Ferry, ID, Gail Boland of Naples and Tom Springett of Truckee, CA; five grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford J. Springett in 2000. Audrey was born in Elizabeth, NJ and was the daughter of Edwin and Violet (Osborne) Meyer. After graduating from high school, Audrey earned her nursing degree and joined the Nurse Cadet Corps. She met her husband, Clifford, while still in high school. After World War II, they married in 1945. Her greatest love in life was her family. In 1969, they moved from New Jersey to Canandaigua and she resumed her nursing career. Audrey worked in various doctor's offices, and was the former head nurse at the Ontario County Health Facility. She finished her career at the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua. Audrey always maintained a positive outlook on life and people. Her tolerance, compassion and acceptance of others has been an inspiration to us all. There will be no calling hours. Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated tomorrow (Monday) at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, 95 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Interment will be in Pine Bank Cemetery, Cheshire. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456 or the Arthritis Foundation, 3300 Monroe Ave., Suite 319, Rochester, NY 14618.
