JONES, Augusta (Hynes) Augusta “Gussy” (Hynes) Jones, 78, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late John “Stanley” Jones, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, (April 1) at her home. Born in Liverpool, England, she moved to the United States in 1968 and settled in Windsor. Gussy was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She also was an avid gardener and enjoyed bird watching. She leaves a daughter, Alison Jones and her husband Gregory Tasillo of Windsor; a son, Karl Jones of Windsor; three grandchildren, Abriana, Andrew, and Samantha Tasillo, all of Windsor; two sisters, Eileen Jones and Brenda Hiagham and her husband Bob, all of England; a sister-in-law, May Hynes of Canada; several nieces and nephews; and her dogs, Zeus and Apollo, who will be very well cared for by her grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank Hynes. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 10 a.m., in the chapel of the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will be private. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, 9:30-10 a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
