Stuber, Avle, 76, passed away January 17, 2012 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. Avle was born December 26, 1935 in Quincy, KS, the daughter of Jesse Marion and Muriel Arlene (Close) Charboneau. She grew up in Toronto, KS graduating from Toronto High School. After high school she moved to Wichita, KS where she met Kenneth Warren Stuber and later married on December 22, 1956. They shared over 55 years of marriage. Avle and Kenny had a long and happy marriage. Avle worked for over 20 years at Boeing before retiring in 1995. Avle was a member of Daughters of the Nile with the Kansas Shriners. She served as Chaplain and Banker and was a very active member till her health prevented her participation. Avle enjoyed bowling on the Shriners Senior league and served as Secretary/Treasurer for a number of years. Avle and Kenny have many friends and happy memories from bowling and attending bowling tournaments. They particularly enjoyed their retirement and traveled to Ireland, Alaska, and Hawaii making friends wherever they went. Both Avle and Kenny enjoyed countless family vacations and Charboneau reunions in Branson, MO with their children, grandchildren, and with siblings and spouses. Avle is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Andover, KS; daughter Sherri (Evans) Stuber Charboneau of Wichita, KS; son, Kevin Stuber and his wife Kathy of Derby, KS; 5 grandchildren, John Evans and Geoffrey Evans of Wichita, Brittany Stuber of Kingman, KS, Taylor Stuber and Garrett Stuber of Derby, KS; 1 great-granddaughter, Pepper Stuber of Kingman, KS; brother, Orlis Charboneau and his wife Sue; sister, Avis Deck; brother-in-law, Max Eaton; 4 sisters-in-law, Maria Charboneau, Pat Charboneau, Ruby Stuber, and Amy Rogers; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Stephanie Renee Stuber; 4 brothers, Lloyd Charboneau, Lyneol Charboneau, Paul Charboneau, and John Robert Charboneau; 2 sisters, Bonnie Jean Eaton and Iona Lorraine Mann; 5 brothers-in-law, Harvey "Bud" Deck, John Mann, Delano Stuber, Paul Stuber, Harold Stuber; and 3 sisters-in-law, Carrie Charboneau, Frieda Stuber, Rosalee (Erikson Stuber) Basham. Visitation will be Friday, from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, both at Lakeview Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131.
