Kirby, Azile Gertrude, age 89, of Kenneth City, Florida passed away peacefully on 12/21/2011 at St. Petersburg, FL. She was born on 11/3/1922 in Charleston, SC, to her parents, Albert and Florence Lane.

Azile was one of 4 children. She married James Kirby in Norwalk, CT, on June 6, 1939. They had 3 children. She was a resident of Kenneth City for 4 years and employed by ECI as an inspector for 10 years. Azile was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.

Azile will be remembered by her loving children, Roy Kirby and Diane Veenstra. She is also survived by grandchildren: Zoe Bocik, Amanda Kirby, and David Veenstra Jr. Predeceased by her husband of 63 years, James Harold Kirby and her daughter Lola Cornelia Kirby.

Relatives and friends are invited to a service of remembrance for Azile at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28th at Disston Ave. Church of Christ, 901 49th St. South, Gulfport, Florida.
