Waterville -- Barbara Anne Bouchard, 66, was called home by the Lord on May 22, 2012 at Maine General Medical Center after a long illness. Her loving family was by her side. Barbara was born in Waterville on January 2, 1946, the daughter of William and Estelle (Bisson) Roderick. She was educated in the Waterville school system. Barbara was a hard worker and over the years was employed by A&P grocery, Waterville School Systems in the nutrition department, North End Variety and Mt. St. Joseph's. Her enjoyments in life were very simple. She loved to pray, listen to music, dance, do crossword puzzles, play BINGO, sit in the sun during the summer. She loved to play the slot machines and scratch tickets, and she especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a wonderful listener to all she knew. Barbara was predeceased by her parents William and Estelle (Bisson) Roderick, a sister Betty Jean Roderick; and one grandchild, Brianna Bouchard. Barbara will be sadly missed by her five children, Kim Pottle and husband Steve of Waterville, Darren Bouchard and wife Betty of Waterville, Michele Sucy and husband Scott of Oakland, Shane Bouchard and wife Amy of Virginia Beach, VA, and Johna Cram and husband Dan of Oakland; her brothers; Jerry Roderick and wife Judy of Meriden, CT, Ray Roderick of Worcester, MA, Billy Roderick of Detroit, MI; sisters, Jean (Roderick) St. Peter and husband Reggie of Oakland, ME, Anne (Roderick) O'Brien and husband Robert of Higganum, CT, and Lisa (Roderick) Enoch and husband Albert of Meriden, CT as well as ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, cousins, and everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her. A special thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Lovitz for years of great care and kindness along with Hospice of Waterville for all of their help and care in making her final days here with us comfortable also the staff at Maine General Medical Center in Waterville. At her request there will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26th, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Silver Street, Waterville. Burial will be at a later date at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville.
