Barbara Ann Carrolla, 71, of Cheshire, passed away after a brief illness in St. Raphael Hospital September 3, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Born in New Haven, CT on February 17, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Teresa Carrolla. She is survived by her sisters, Marie Carrolla and Sara (Erio) Gibertoni, her niece Gail (Thomas) Larson, a great nephew, Thomas Larson, and a great niece Erica Larson, all of Cheshire. She was predeceased by her niece, Sandra Gibertoni. She also leaves many friends and relatives who were special to her through the years. Barbara enjoyed luncheons with her friends, long chats over coffee, gardening, and she took great pride in decorating her home and maintaining her property. She especially enjoyed sharing in the lives of her great niece and nephew. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday Sept. 7, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN.
