Barbara Ann Parnell, 66, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at her residence.
Mrs. Parnell was born March 15, 1945 in Bragg City, Mo. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle in Poplar Bluff, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Parnell previously worked as a waitress at Tower Motel Restaurant and later as an Instructor at Ozark Fitness Center. She enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, spending time with her family, walking, swimming, working crossword puzzles and collecting knick-knacks.
In 1968, she married Robert Parnell Sr. in St. Louis, Mo. He survives.
Other survivors include four children, Rhonda Dillow, Robert Parnell Jr. and wife Marie and Paul Parnell all of Poplar Bluff and Mark Mitchem and wife Cynthia of Burbon, Mo.; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral chapel with The Rev. David Tharp officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
