BARBARA C. WEBER
VERO BEACH, FL – Barbara C. Weber of Vero Beach, Florida passed away peacefully September 8, 2009 at VNA Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. The oldest of Margaret and Austin Crowleys' three children, she was born in Freeport, New York in 1927.
Barbara grew up on Long Island, New York and attended Saint Agnes High School. Although she received a full academic scholarship to attend college, she deferred to work at a law firm in New York City. After staying home to nurture, support and raise seven active children on Long Island, and later in Pittsburgh,PA and Potomac, MD, she redirected her organizational skills and re-entered the workplace as the office manager for West Nassau Mental Health Clinic. She later retired to Vero Beach, Florida in 1993. Barbara volunteered with Meals on Wheels and served with the Board of the Park Shores Condominium Association. Her interests included travel, gardening, art and music. Her passion was time spent with family and friends. Barbara will be remembered for her kind heart, her wonderful sense of humor and her sage advice. She is, and will continue to be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her brother, Brian Crowley and wife Lynn of Dumfries, Virginia; her children, James Judge and wife Carol of Dayton, Ohio; Geoffrey Judge of Great Falls, Virginia; Jonathan Judge of Rochester, New York; Peter Judge and wife Dolly of Great Falls, Virginia; Sheila Judge of Durham, North Carolina; and Janet Judge of North Yarmouth, Maine; and her 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Frank Weber, her son Paul Francis Judge, and her brother Austin Crowley.
A funeral mass will be held at Holy Cross Church of Vero Beach, FL on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 10:00 am. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to VNA Hospice House c/o VNA Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
