Barbara Lynn Plantz was born in Columbus, Nebraska, on July 31, 1959. She left this world on August 23, 2010, at Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, Arizona.

Barbara lived and worked as a bartender in Phoenix for most of her life. She made many friends over the years tending bar at My Ole Man’s, the Dunes, and Amber Inn.

Barbara was a fun-loving person who most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Barbara looked forward to her yearly visits to Mexico with her father and others. She was an avid dart player and pool player, and loved going to the casino. A kind and generous person, Barbara’s big heart went out to people who needed someone to care about them. She was surrounded by her loving friends when she answered the “Last Call” at 1:50 AM and entered eternal life.

Barbara is survived by her father Robert L. Plantz and her brother Robert M. Plantz and his wife, Debra. She is also survived by an aunt Penny, nieces Danielle (Steve) Kostner and Elaine Plantz, and a great-niece Georgia Plantz. She is preceded in death by her mother Rose H. Plantz.

Memorial services will take place on September 2, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Greer-Wilson Funeral Home at 5921 W. Thomas in Phoenix, Arizona. A reception will be held immediately following the services at Amber Inn at 4238 West Dunlap Avenue,
Phoenix, AZ.
