Barbara R. Kirkman, 69, passed away Friday, May 20, 2011. Born in Henry Co., IN, she worked in quality control with Centennial Wireless for 13 years, retiring in 2010. She was a member of Avalon Missionary Church, a loving mother & grandmother who enjoyed cooking & baking for others. Surviving are her daughters, Janice (Edward) Govin of Fort Wayne, Janet (John) Marek of Huntersville, NC; son, J. Allen (Vesta) Kirkman of Hoagland, IN; grandchildren, Garret and Madison Govin, Bradley & Branden Kirkman; 2 brothers & 4 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents. Service is 10 am, Tuesday at Avalon Missionary Church, 1212 Lower Huntington Road, Pastor Keith Koteskey officiating, with calling 1 hour prior. Calling also, Monday 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the Avalon Missionary Church.
