Barney Cannon, 66, of Six Mile, SC, went to his heavenly home with his family surrounding him at the Cottingham House, in Seneca, SC on December 12, 2011.

Barney was born on December 15, 1944 to the late Albert Cannon and Cecil (Fred) Allen of Conway, SC.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Brenda Sears Cannon, of the home; sons Ronnie Cannon (Carla) of Six Mile and Wesley Reid (Trace) of Easley; five grandchildren, Drew, Bailey and Ali Cannon and Blake and Lee-Anne Reid; brothers, Charles Cannon (Nell), Heyward (Carole) Allen; sisters Christine Smithart, Betty Jean McCombs and Ann Nicholson (James); sister-in-laws Faye Cannon and Jan Cannon; and his babies, Buffy, Tootie and Runt.

He was predeceased by brothers, Gerald, Albert Jr, Ray and Harold Cannon.

A celebration of Barney's life will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.
