Bennett Denkins the second eldest son of the late Benjamin and Josephine Denkins, departed this life Sunday, November 20, 2011, after an extended illness. Bennett was born in Paterson, New Jersey, January 22, 1957. He attended and graduated P.S. School #6, Martin Luther King, Jr. High School and Eastside High School in the class of 1974. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University until his senior year at which time he decided to except a full time job position at Exxon Mobile in Madison, New Jersey. Bennett was a quick learner, thirsty for life's adventures and set out to develop his potentials. He had gifted hands. He became a skilled craftsman and master of his trade. He operated as an independent contractor/builder and became highly sought after his gift in esign/modeling. Bennett joined the Jericho City of Praise Church Family in 2009. He was determined to complete the foundation classes and earned his Certificate of Completion after which he registered for Bible Study Classes at a nearby Bible College. He accepted Christ and began seeking God's Face. Bennett leaves to mourn: one daughter, Portia; four sisters; Mrs. Pernell Lewis of NY, Rebecca Denkins of DC, Willia Mae Denkins-Williams of Paterson, Barbara Denkins of MD; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and precious friends. To God Be All The Glory!!!
