Bernadette Hogins, age 73, of Dover, died Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at her home.

She was born December 3, 1928, at Boston, Massachusetts and was a daughter of the late James Reginald and Nancy Mae Bonvie McVicar. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society and was a Benedictine Oblate. She was an active member of the Pope County Republican Women. A daughter, Maria Bernadette Hogins, two sisters, Sarah Hansen and Jeannette Awalt and a brother, James A. McVicar, preceded her in death.She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Reece Hogins, Sr.; Other survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Reece Hogins, Jr. and Leanne of Russellville and Buel Hogins of Dover; three daughters and sons-in-law, Verna and Dewey Boxnick of Augsburg, Jeanette and Mikel Smith of Dover, Daisy and Joe Anderson of Dover; a brother, John McVicar of Enfield, New Hampshire; three sisters, Mary Curran of Marshfield, Massachusetts, Nancy Russell of Quincy, Massachusetts and Joan Hansen of Chula Vista, California; fourteen grandchildren, Eric and Tamara Boxnick, Amanda, Brock, Nolan, Seth and Maria Smith, Tiffany Poole, Cadrian, Trey and Jamie Hogins, Wesley, Bridgette and Victoria Anderson.

Funeral 10 A. M., Monday, December 2, at St. John's Catholic Church, with Rev. Ernest Hardesty officiating. Burial will be in Phoenix Cemetery by Shinn Funeral Service.Pallbearers will be grandsons and a nephew, Brock, Nolan, and Seth Smith, Eric Boxnick, Wesley Anderson, Trey Hogins and James McVicar.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Catholic School, 1900 West Main, Russellville, AR 72801.Rosary will be at 6 P. M., Sunday, December 1, at Shinn Chapel, with visitation following until 8:30 P. M.
