BERNARD O. WALL Bernard O. Wall passed away on November 28, 2011 at his home in Washougal with his family by his side. He was 90 years old. Bernard was born on June 18, 1921. He was born and raised on Mt. Norway in Washougal. He was a life long resident of the Washougal area. Bernard served with the Army Infantry in Okinawa during WWII. He believed, and instilled in his children, that people should know how o work with their hands. He thought that for the privilege of living one should make a difference. He stayed informed on local, national and world affairs and spoke hopefully about people working together to resolve problems and make a better world for all. Throughout life, Bernard showed a great sense of humor, and his teasing ways helped to buoy the spirits of those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi McDowell Wall and son, Andrew and 2 infant daughters. He is survived by his wife, Florence at home; son, David of Seattle; daughter, Diane Ramirez of Lauder Hill, FL; sister, Melvina Brittle of Beaverton, OR and 5 grandchildren. His life will be celebrated on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11AM at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas. Memorial donations can be given to a charity of choice or to Hospice Southwest @ PO Box 1600, Vancouver, WA 98668.
