Mrs. Baldwin was the epitomy of grace and love...such a caring and sweet person! She lives on in her children and grandchildren and those of us who had the privilege of having her in our lives, even if only for a brief moment.

how do you sum up a 48 yr friendship with a women as loving as caring so much fun to be with so much fun to tease and watch her blush? I knew Berkneesa[ I called her] was my friend. ~How can I put into words the deep love I had for Bernice? She was warm and caring but not a pushover. She was savvy when it came to protecting her husband and children and their children. That is a good thing! She was delightful to be with. She adapted to anyplace she traveled and made the most of the moment. When Benice came to our house to stay, our children flocked to be around her. She complimented them and

When Benice came to our house to stay, our children flocked to be around her. She complimented them and gave them encouragement (a trait she shared with her sisters and brother). As I have told many, when I called for Bernice she came to my rescue. I can truly tell her chiuldren that Bernice talked with love for them and thier families (all the time and of course, Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy (smile). During these past days you have kept vigil over Bernice and surrounded her with love. She felt it, I am sure, even when she could not speak. Uncle Will and I love you very much. Bernice lived a good and purposeful life that we can celebrate with our own loving memories.

I loved Aunt Bernice. She was always smiling and laughing and could put you in a good mood as soon as you saw her. She was fun to be around and have long conversations with. I will miss her. Love, Mel
