Bernice Brown, daughter of the late Margaret Love and Patrick Becon, was born on November 14, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York. The Lord called her home on august 5, 2012 at the age of 81. In her younger years her family relocated to Baltimore, Maryland where she graduated from Carver Vocational Technical School. While she was there she studied dressmaking and design and was later employed at Dan Mar Company as a seamstress. Bernice was formerly married to Charles L. Brown Sr.,, and during their union they had three children. In 1995 Bernice retired from Dan Mar to help care for her grandchildren and anyone else that was in need. Bernice was known to most as Grandma Bern and B>B. She loved to cook, clean and watch soap operas. Her home was a very special part of her life and was filled with laughter, joy, and love. Bernice leaves to cherish her memory; two sons, Michael and Anthony; one daughter Angela; a daughter-in-law, Yvonne; six grandchildren, Kevin, Michael Jr., Channell, Crystal, Gregory, and Sakia; seven great-grandchildren, Dejon, Quran, Rashad, Mekhi, Chaylah, Gian and Chloe; one brother, Julius (Cisco); one brother-in-law, Everett; and four sisters-in-law, Nellie, Kitty, Martha and Eva; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister Dorothy and three brothers, Luther, James, and Hamlet.
