HERNDON - Bernice V. Russell , 86, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Hershey Medical Center. She was born in Dornsife, PA the daughter of the late Harlan and Florence Klock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Russell with whom she devotedly operated Russell's general store and furniture business in Mandata for 37 years. She is survived by her son, Dr. David R. Russell and his wife Pat of Millersburg, a grand daughter, Lauren and husband Dr.Warren Silvers and their children, Lina, Corianne and Joseph of Harrisburg and a grandson, David and his wife, Jamie, of Nazareth, PA. She is also survived by five sisters, Annabelle Drumheller of Dornsife, Marjorie Snyder of Northumberland, Joyce and husband Charles Phillips of Shamokin, Hilda Raring of Elizabethville and Emma and husband Ken Klinger of Hackettstown, NJ; two brothers, Spencer and wife Liz Klock of Tavares, FL and James and wife Carmen Klock of Orchard Hills, MI, nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Kemper of California . She was a member of Peifer's E.C. Church, Herndon, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a past volunteer with the Dalmatia Ambulance Assoc. She was a devoted fan of the Gaither's homecoming gospel singers whose graduates were surely there to greet her. Her mission in life was to always leave the world a better place than she found it. There will be a viewing at David's Community Bible Church in Millersburg on Friday, February 3 from 10:00 am to the start of the service at 11:00 am. Her Pastor, Rev. Richard Sweppenheiser will officiate along with Rev. Gary Becker. Burial will be held privately. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bethesda Mission dental clinic, PO Box 3041, 611 Reily St. Harrisburg, PA 17105, David's Community Bible Church access fund, 1072 Route. 25, Millersburg, PA 17061 or Peifer's E.C.
