Dear Uncle Bernie,
we will all miss you very much. You were the best uncle a kid could ever have because you would always care for everyone and protect your whole family.Everyday was the best day with you, when we saw you, you would always give us hugs and say that you love us. But now that your in heaven I know that i should hold on to the moment that you shared with us. I also know that when god calls us to come home that you will be right in front of the gate waiting for us to come in, and to welcome us home. My memories will always be remembered about you. But for now, I just wanted to say that i love you and can't wait to see you.

Bernie, it's November, Friday the 13th but its a beautiful sunny day. I know you are still with me because I feel you everywhere I go. The other day was gloomy and rainy. I know you were here, home, playing with Buddy in the rain. He never stayed outside unless we were with him but he was running in the rain like you were out there beside him playing. He even hid after 30 minutes when I tried to get him to come in. He loved playing in that rain with you! Its so hard. Everyone keeps telling me each day will get easier but that isn't true at all. Actually, every day gets harder. Your love is the only thing that carries me through. You will never suffer from the pains in your neck, hip, back, knee or heart ever again. I will see you again someday, but until then you will always be in my heart. I know if you can, you will be with me watching over me, Stephen, and Buddy, as well as your mom and children. I love you and we always knew what we meant to each other and we promised to stay together til death do we part. We didn't ever let anyone come between us. I know your love for me was unconditional. Until we are with each other again... you can sit with my dad in heaven.

Bernie, it's been 16 days since you left us. It's so hard. You were the one that always kept the family together. Now, once again, it is falling apart. Everybody trying to backstab each other. Im glad you are at peace now and no longer suffering though. For the rest of us, it's a day by day situation now. We miss you so much.

Angela, My family is deeply saddened by the news of Bernie. He was a very special person and always smiling. He touched the hearts of many people in his caring and optimistic ways. Remember that he will always be by your side and help you get through this and other triumphs you may face. Be grateful for the memories you have...they will go on forever...
