Bertha LaJeane DeLaRosa August 10, 1932 - October 1, 2011 Bertha LaJeane Harvey Collins DeLaRosa of Waco passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Lawrence Soler officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. LaJeane was born August 10, 1932, in Waco, to Jack and Bertha (Snelson) Harvey. She was a very good homemaker, also delivered papers for 28 years and was an active election judge. She was a caring lady and a friend to all she knew and met. Even in death, she was giving, donating her corneas, so two other people might be able to see. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Kimberly Gayle and Mary Gail; grandson, Nicholas Glenn Collins;and brothers, Charles L. Harvey and Thomas E. Birkes. She is survived by daughters, Debra Romero, of Waco, Charlotte Torres and husband, Sammy, of Waco, and Tamara Nowlin and husband, James, of Waco; sons, Larry Collins, of Waco, Russell Collins and wife, Lee Ann, of Dallas, Bobby Collins and wife, Terri, of Hallsburg, Stephen Mark Collins and wife, Marla, of Elm Mott, Ronald Collins and wife, Alice, of Waco, and Joseph (Jody) L. DeLaRosa of Waco. There are also 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Whiteside and husband, Calvin, and Barbara Alice Connally and husband, Kelly; brothers, John C. Harvey and wife, Mary, and William R. Harvey and wife, Judi. Pallbearers are Brandon Romero, Jason Romero, Manuel Collins, Christiaan Romero, Jonathan Collins, Cobie Collins, Matthew Nowlin and Shawn Collins.
