Bertie V. Flora, 88, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away October 4, 2011. A native of Princess Anne County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Caleb and Maude Cartwright, and the widow of Herman M. Flora, Sr. She retired from Sun Trust Bank as a Teller after 10 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Nina F. Eaton and husband Page, a sister, Alice Ansell, a brother, Walter (Pedro) Cartwright, a son-in-law, Victor Moore, a daughter-in-law, Cecile Saunders, all of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother-in-law, Woodrow Flora and wife Jackie of Richmond, VA; two granddaughters, Mandie E. Moore and Nancy Ballou; three grandsons, Scott O. Moore, Donnie Flora and wife Tara, and Johnnie Flora and wife Cherrie, all of Virginia Beach, VA; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Herman M. Flora, Jr.; a daughter, June Marie Moore; and a sister, Lethea Lowe. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rosewood Memorial Park with Rev.
