Miss Betsy Ann Boland, 62, a resident of Holly Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Towson, MD and formerly of Waynesboro, died at 3:55 A.M., Sunday, January 15, 2012, in the nursing home. She had been in failing health for the past two years. Born December 24, 1949 in Hollidaysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Norman A. and Mary R. "Jean" (Malligan) Boland. She lived her early life in Hollidaysburg until moving to Waynesboro in 1964. She graduated from St. Maria Goretti High School, Hagerstown, MD, with the class of 1968. Miss Boland was a clerk for the TV Cable of Waynesboro and enjoyed being an Avon saleslady. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Waynesboro, where she sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the Waynesboro Lioness Club. She is survived by one sister, Barbara B. Miller and her husband Tom of Timonium, MD; one nephew; one niece; and seven great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 20, 2012, in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. William Kauffman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery, Waynesboro. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., Friday morning, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
