Betty A. Rosencrance, age 68, of West Scranton, passed away Thursday evening under the care of Hospice of the Sacred Heart at Community Medical Center's VNA Inpatient Unit. Her husband, Clarence E. "Sonny" Rosencrance", died on August 14, 2007. Born in Nicholson on March 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen Meyers Sherman. Betty's favorite hobby was crafting and she had worked for Supreme Laundry in West Scranton. She is survived by her three sons, Daniel Rosencrance and wife Kim of Clarks Summit, Rusty Rosencrance and wife Petra of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Jason Rosencrance and wife Laura of Clarks Summit; two brothers, Ralph and Dale; three sisters, Lois, Dorothy and Gladys; and grandchildren, Simone, Dominick, Harlie, Jolienne, Abbey and Jacob. Also preceding in death was a daughter, Patricia; six brothers; and two sisters. Betty's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staffs of Hospice of the Sacred Heart, especially Lynn Nizich, R.N., and VNA Hospice at CMC for all of their kindness and care. Graveside services by Rev. Joseph Elston will be conducted on Saturday, September 10th, at 11AM in the Newton Cemetery, Newton Ransom Blvd. Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street in Old Forge.
