BETTY ANNE WALLER August 9, 1938 ~ August 12, 2011 Betty Anne Waller, loving mother, and friend to so many, passed away peacefully Aug. 12, 2011 at the age of 73 in Camas, WA. She was born Aug. 9, 1938 in Bismarck, ND to William and Clementine Meredith. Her family lived in Mandan, ND until their move west to Camas, WA in 1943. Betty lived in Camas, WA until graduating high school and getting married in 1956. She raised her family and lived her life in Vancouver, WA for all her remaining years. Betty had many occupations throughout her life including Jantzen Knitting Mill, Portco, Holland Bakery, home daycare, Kienows Bohemian Bakery, and Franz Bakery. She was a gifted pastry baker and cake decorator. Her many artistic talents could be seen in all her life's work. Betty's life pleasures included home gardening, seasonal decorating, exploring family history, and helping others in need. Her passion was her family. Her love and devotion was ever present and will be remembered always. Betty is survived by her three sons, Vernon (Kim) Waller III, Matthew (Laura) Waller, and Mark (Cathy) Waller; eight grand- children; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert and Harold Meredith; and her former spouse, Vernon Waller, Jr. Betty was laid to rest at the Camas Cemetery with a graveside memorial service of family and friends on Aug. 18, 2011. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of the arrangements.
