Betty J. Liller (nee Roth), 80, a resident of Annapolis since 1983 and formerly of Oakland, died January 3 at Mandrin Hospice following a very brief illness.
Betty was born June 12, 1931 in Horse Shoe Run, West Virginia to the late Earl and Esta Roth. She graduated from Aurora High School, Aurora, WVA then from West Virginia Business College in Clarksburg, WVA in 1950. She married Jack Edward Liller in December 1951. She was a receptionist and funeral assistant at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home. Betty was an active member and participant at St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Annapolis and was a member of the Retirees Choir. She enjoyed her family and supporting her grandchildren's band and athletic events. She loved baseball and was an avid Orioles fan. She also enjoyed cooking and attending local theatre.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1979.
She is survived by two sons, Dana R. Liller and his wife Kathie of Germantown and Todd E. Liller and his wife Lenore of Annapolis; daughter, Kimberly A. Rosekrans of Gambrills; brother, Jack Roth and wife Carol of Morgantown, WVA; six grandchildren, Julie and Mary Rosekrans, Emma Liller and Kiersten Quinter, and Bryan and Alex Liller; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Liller and Aiden Koon.
Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, January 6 at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis with funeral service 10 a.m., Saturday, January 7 at St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1120 Spa Road, Annapolis. Interment 12 noon, Monday, January 9 at Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401 or St. Martin's Church, 1120 Spa Road, Annapolis, MD 21403.
