Betty Jo Brown, 80, passed away January 27, 2011. Betty Jo was the widow of Herbert Brown Sr. She was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, David Brown and Herbert Lee Brown Jr. and wife Jennifer; a daughter, Susie Brown Veracruz; three grandchildren, Buddy, Victoria and Luke; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Ernie Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
