Mrs. Betty May Matrascia, age 86 of McDonough, Georgia passed away January 29, 2012. She was born in Coventry, England to the late Harry and May Duckett Potter. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Matrascia, twin brother, Bert Potter and a sister, Violet Ling. Betty, who liked to be called "Elizabeth" met her husband of 25 years while he was stationed in England. She returned with him to the United States in 1946 and became a U.S citizen. The night of her passing, Elizabeth struggled for many hours until her granddaughter assured her that this is as far as we can go with you, take the hand of Jesus and go be with Him and those that have gone on before. At that moment, she did just that, escorted by the angels into Heaven.
