Betty R. Garren
Greenville, SC
Betty Jo Robinson Garren, 85, former resident of Dubard St., passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at NHC Healthcare of Mauldin.
Born October 7, 1926 in the Dacusville community of Pickens County, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Miles and Elizabeth Hunt Robinson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence William Garren and six brothers and a sister: Jesse, James, Alvin, Mart, TJ, Clarence and Mary.
Surviving are a son, Jerry Hunt Garren and his wife, Dianne; their son, Hunt and his wife, Julie; a daughter, Pam Deichman and her husband, Brian, along with their two boys, Will and Mark. Betty was also the proud great-grandmother to Carter and Charlie. She treasured her dear friends, Sadie Rice, Nell Rice and John and Arnette Howell.
Mrs. Garren graduate from Dacusville High School and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Greenville. She was a housewife who nurtured and loved her family.
Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2012 at The Mackey Mortuary with Rev. Doug Bowling officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends Friday, from 12:30 until 1:45 PM at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dacusville United Methodist Church, 1339 Thomas Mill Rd., Easley, SC 29640.
