NEW BLOOMFIELD -Betty Virginia Miller , 85, Formerly of Berrysburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at The Manor of Perry Village, New Bloomfield. She was born in Mifflin Twp , June 24, 1926, the daughter of the late, John and Sally (Deibler) Shaffer. She retired from Upper Dauphin Area School District as a cook and cafeteria worker. She was a member of Peace UCC, the Women's Guild , the Elizabethville Senior Citizens and Berrysburg Farm Women Group. She was the widow of Owen E. Miller, who passed away in 1993. She is survived by one son, Kevin R., husband of Suzanne Miller, Elizabethville; three daughters, Brenda, wife of Charles Griner, Northumberland, Balerie, wife of Dale Tschopp, Lykens and Deana, wife of Michael Stamm, Elizabethville; Two sisters, Phoebe Taylor, Elizabethville, Margaret Boyer , Herndon; Three sisters-in-law, Grace Shaffer and Ethel Shaffer, both of Millersburg and Ruby Miller of Elizabethville. 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Edgar Shaffer , Robert Shaffer and John Shaffer Jr.; three sisters, Hester Deibler, Retta Radel and Marie Troutman. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, July 5 at Peace UCC in Berrysburg. Visitation will be from 10AM until the time of services at 11 AM. Burial in Sweitzers Memorial Cemetery, Berrysburg.
