Services for Betty Weir, 75, of Lubbock will be at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2010 in Sanders Memorial Chapel with Dr. Ken Horn officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at Sanders Funeral Home.

Betty went to be with the Lord On November 7, 2010. Betty was born June 21, 1935 in Pampa, Texas to Marvin and Eula Templeton. She married Doyel Weir on August 24, 1952 in Lubbock. She was a housewife, and enjoyed her family the most, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading and handwork. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 56 years, her parents, a brother, Delbert Templeton, a sister, Dee Pierce. She is survived by children, Ronnie Weir, Pamela Gaddis, Penny Moyers and husband, Brad, Russell (Rusty) Weir and wife, Lesley. Eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one sister, Joyce Ray, as well a numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was a loving Wife, Mother, MeMaw and Sister and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation be made to VistaCare Hospice 1717 Norfolk Lubbock, TX 79416 or to Alzheimer’s Research.
