Beulah Benford Goin, 84, of the 100 block of McCosh Drive, Chesapeake, VA, passed away November 9, 2010, in her home. A native of Bedford, VA, she was the daughter of the late Ivy and Maude Shiflett, and the widow of Glenn A. Goin, Sr. She is survived by her nine daughters, Ann Grove and Mary Jones of Norfolk, VA, Debbie Anthony of Florida, Brenda Comstock of Kansas, Joyce Allison of North Carolina, Frances Byron, Betty Vincent, Linda Mallard and Margaret Hill, all of Chesapeake, VA; five sons, Michael Goin of Norfolk, VA, Roger Goin of Georgia, Marvin Goin of South Dakota, Glenn Goin, Jr. of North Carolina and Carl Goin of Chesapeake, VA; a sister, Neda Bivens of Indiana; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, William and Jimmy Goin; and a granddaughter, Kim Willoughby. A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel with Pastor Matt Nettesheim officiating. The burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
