EAST PROVIDENCE – Paiva, Beverly Ann (Abbatematteo), 70, of Lyon Ave., died unexpectedly at home, Sunday, July 19, 2009. Born in Providence, Jan. 21, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Antonetta (DiOrio) Abbatematteo.A hairdresser for 52 years, she was the owner of Beverly's Hair Fashions.She leaves her sons, Jay John Paiva and Jeffery Louis Paiva, both of East Providence; her granddaughters, Erika Lynn and Briana Lee Paiva; and her sister, Janice Contillo of Cumberland.Calling hours will be held Thursday, 5-8pm in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Her funeral with burial at St. Ann's Cemetery will be private.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the Beverly (Abbatematteo) Paiva Granddaughters Catholic Education Fund, c/o Citizens Bank, 622 Taunton Ave., East Providence, RI 02914.
