Beverly Walter Greenidge Obituary

The Obituary BEVERLY WALTER GREENIDGE was the only child born from the union of Violet and Beverly W. Greenidge. He was born on August 11, 1935 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where he did his primary education. He completed his high school years at Germantown High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Walter, as he liked to be called, received God at a young age and was a member of St. Luke Episcopal Church of Philadelphia. He had various jobs and enjoyed each one of them in that season. The thing Walt loved the most was being a part of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Walt was the kind of guy that was good with his hands. Walt's hobbies were fishing, photography, collecting trains, Hess trucks, pipes, going to Lowes and dogs, which he named all of them "Candy". Later in life, throughout his sickness, he resided at Golden Living on Stenton Avenue in Philadelphia, where his longtime faithful friend, Patricia Massie, brought him the Sunday paper and the church programs. He also loved calling his brother St. Clair to talk about the Eagles and Phillies after the game. As Walt got older, he preferred to be called "The Bajan Geezer". He leaves to mourn: his beloved wife, Annabel Greenidge; two brothers, St. Clair Greenidge and Mitchell Greenidge; a sister, Joan Hale; three daughters, Michelle McLean, Lisa Golphin and Adrianne Crowder; four sons, Stephen Greenidge, who preceded him in death, Mark Greenidge, Aaron Dean and Austin Greenidge; two sons-in-law, Billy Golphin and Stephen Crower; three daughters-in-law, Crystal Greenidge, Yanick Greenidge and Sharon Dean; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and loving friends. Lovingly submitted, The Family
