Bienvenido "Benny" Castro, 75, of Orlando and previously of Stuart, died December 29, 2011 at Martin Memorial Hospital South in Stuart. He was born in Puerto Rico, and had been a resident of Orlando, since 2007, having previously lived in New York, Puerto Rico and Stuart. He had been and owner and operator of a grocery store, and an elevator operator before retirement.
Survivors include his wife of 4 years, Mercedes Susana Vallejo Castro of Orlando; daughters, Miriam Marrero of Jensen Beach, Rosa Curbelo of Stuart, Yvette Castro of Port St. Lucie and Millie Baldwin of Stuart; brother, Victor Castro of Stuart; sister, Delia Vinni of New York; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lydia Castro.
Visitation: 11:30 to 1:30, Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
2nd Visitation: 10:00AM – 1:00PM, Monday, January 2, 2012 at Funeraria Porta Coeli in Kissimmee, FL
Interment will follow Monday at 1:00PM in Osceola Memory Gardens in Kissimmee.
