Bill Batson

Sunset – Bill Osborne Batson, 70, husband of Maybelle Mosley Batson, passed from this life Friday, October 28, 2011.

Mr. Batson was born at Old Toxaway, NC a son of the late Charles C. and Agnes Chappell Batson. He formerly worked for Platt Saco Lowell and retired from The SC Department ofTransportation. Mr. Batson was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Pickens County Bear Hunters.

Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Maybelle M. Batson, three daughters Debbie Holder (Dee) of Pickens and Sherry Owens (Charlie) and Kerry Gossett (Barry) both of Easley, four grandchildren Deedra Holder, Drake Brown, Kaden Gossett, and Parker Owens and five step-grandchildren and a sister Rachel Owens of Old Toxaway, NC.

A Celebration of Bill's life will be conducted 2 PM Sunday at his home place at 127 Waterfalls Road, Sunset. The family would like those attending, to share their best Bill Batson story.
