Mr. Billy D. Rumans was born in Versailles, Missouri. He is a retired Letter Carrier and Route Inspector for the Postal Service. He was a member and founder of the Coachmen's Camper Club. He also had been the co-owner of Gladstone TV Repair for 17 years. He was an avid bowler and bowled on several teams at the Liberty Bowl. Mr. Rumans was a veteran and served as an Army Sergeant in the Korean Conflict. He is a member of the American Legion at large and a member of the Versailles United Methodist Church. He leaves many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Ellen Rumans in 1999. Survivors include his children and their spouses: John & Jeanne Rumans of Kansas City, Missouri; Jim & Pam Rumans of Lake Winnebago, Missouri; Joy & Stephen Stark of Raymore, Missouri; and, Jo & Douglas Kozma of Mt.Clemens, Michigan. He is also survived by his companion, Rose Smith of the home; a sister, Willa Fae Marr of Arlington, Virginia; his 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family suggest memorial contributions to the Joplin, Missouri Toranado Relief Fund, care of the Salvation Army.
